PARTICULATE FILTER CLEANER – PERFORMANCE & LONGEVITY

AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION FOR A CLEAN AND OPTIMISED PARTICULATE FILTER

The proper functioning of the particulate filter (FAP) relies on a process called regeneration, which involves burning off the soot and hydrocarbons accumulated over time. This combustion naturally occurs in the presence of oxygen when the exhaust gas temperature reaches around 550°C. However, under normal driving conditions – particularly in urban areas or for short trips – the exhaust temperature typically ranges from 150°C to 250°C, which prevents efficient regeneration and leads to clogging of the FAP.

Our particulate filter cleaner is designed to facilitate and optimise this process by enabling a faster and more effective combustion of carbon residues. It is especially recommended for vehicles that mostly make short trips or frequently operate in urban environments.

With an advanced formulation, this cleaner reduces the temperature required for the ignition of hydrocarbon residues, accelerating carbon oxidation. This action not only helps reduce pollutant emissions but also limits engine contamination, reducing maintenance intervals.

HOW TO USE – PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

To keep your particulate filter in top condition and avoid premature clogging, we recommend using the cleaner every 20,000 km or once a year, in addition to regular engine maintenance.

Recommended Application:

1. From 10,000 km: Perform an initial treatment.
2. 1 litre of product in a tank containing at least 25 litres of fuel.
3. Drive normally for a distance of 30 to 35 km to activate the cleaning action.
4. Then fill up and maintain an engine speed of above 2,500 RPM for maximum efficiency.
